Alle knechten des konings, en het volk, der landschappen des konings, weten wel dat al wie tot den koning ingaat in het binnenste voorhof, die niet geroepen is, hij zij man of vrouw, zijn enig vonnis zij, dat men hem dode, tenzij dat de koning den gouden scepter hem toereike, opdat hij levend blijve; ik nu ben deze dertig dagen niet geroepen om tot den koning in te komen.

Alle dienaren van de koning en de bevolking van de gewesten van de koning weten dat voor ieder, man of vrouw, die naar de koning gaat, in het binnenste voorhof, en die niet geroepen is, zijn enige vonnis is dat men hem doodt, tenzij de koning hem de gouden scepter toereikt; dan zal hij in leven blijven. En wat mij betreft, ik ben nu al dertig dagen niet geroepen om naar de koning te komen.
